"On the same ticket" should never be a problem. This "72 hour rule" (assuming it still exists) only comes into play when linking separate tickets (on IATA member airlines) together.
So a little confused here, i have a similar question. I have two separate PNRs but I want my luggage to go straight to PEK (final destination).
Due to some unique routings, I had no choice but to make two PNRs.
First PNR:
OKC - LAX - (8 hour layover) but don't need luggage obviously
Second PNR and final destination:
LAX - PEK
Will they send my luggage from OKC straight to PEK for one price (assuming it costs $)?
