Again EK can be used booked as a QF codeshare. You will unfortunately have to pay the QF YQ on the leg, which raises the fare yet another couple hundred dollars. I flew one of these a few months ago -- ticketed day of departure on Travelocity. It was booked as:
(1) CMB-DOH on QR J
(2) DOH-DXB on QR F (in a 788)
(3) DXB-LHR on EK (EK7) booked as QF8007 in F
(4) LHR-SFO on BA (BA286) booked as an AA codeshare in F
A bit wasted based on MPM. You could have added a few segments( like 5) in the US. QR 787 doesn't have F cabin. You sat in J cabin but within middle east, it's sold as F.
