I was wondering when I was reading it, whether you have stayed at the HK IC ever, since you indicated in your report that the RC views were the best in comparison to the FC. Would be interesting to learn whether RC views equal or tops the IC views as well.
Overall, I think for now, the FSHK is still the better hotel. More refine, better service. But if the RC get it's act together, then it's frankly a toss-up.
As for comparing the RCHK view with ICHK, I think the RC is much better. The ICHK is famous for it's harbour view, but you only get a frontal view of the Victoria harbor and the buildings. The view from RCHK is way more panoramic. This is clearly the best view anywhere in Hong Kong.
