Not true at all. I always use my Chase cards overseas (multiple cards), and the exchange rate I am charged has always exactly matched Visa's listed exchange rate on the day the charge posted.

Some people say otherwise, so they have obviously had a different experience that I have. I'm not sure why it varies. However, you can't say the exchange rate "never" matches up with Chase's, because for me it has matched up every time I've checked.
