Advice needed on trip to China/Thailand
Hi,
I've the first two weeks off in September and am having trouble deciding on a destination. My initial plan was China (Beijing/Shanghai) but then I got thinking about Thailand. The only issue with Thailand is that it'll be the rainy season so I thought I'd split the time between Thailand/China. I am curious to know what peoples thoughts are on this and whether they think I would be better off just concentrating on one country.
Last year I split my two weeks between Japan/Hong Kong and I really loved the contrast between the two countries. It also felt like I'd had two holidays in one.
The current plan is:
29th August -> 7th September in Thailand (Bangkok)
7th September -> 14th September in China (Beijing)
Taking a flight on the 7th from Bangkok to Beijing.
From what I've read 4-5 days is enough to see Beijing, which give me the odd day to do an excursion to neighbouring Cities.
As for Bangkok - depending on the individual again 4-5 days seems to be enough, which gives me a couple of days for an excursion or two.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
