IMO, CSP is the best all round card for travelers.
Anyway the top reasons would be
- UR program allows you to amass a huge qty of points thru other cards and portal. Qty is very important for points to be useful. I earned/redeemed >350k points last year.
- flexibility to transfer to many awesome programs (united, hyatt, southwest) or just use as cash
- useful 2x categories and no FT fees
It leaves a few things to be desired like lounge access that comes with Ink/Fairmont card plus the primary rental car insurance that comes with United/Fairmont.
Whether you want to keep things simple or complicated, CSP works in both cases.
