My wife and I have cycled through several of them (my visa, her visa, my mastercard, her mastercard), but we've never paid the annual fee. It would be hard for me to actually PAY an annual fee. Does Chase ever waive it, or offer bonus points for renewal?
Chase rarely, if ever, waives the annual fee of the Sapphire Preferred. Some have reported retention bonuses of a few thousand UR points, but again, this is rare. The 7% annual dividend is, in a way, a retention bonus.
