Actually a lot of sense of entitlement. 8,000 TP's in a year, using miles earned by flying BA, BA GGL line issues the ticket, but heaven forbid you would want to use a BA lounge. Not a big deal, really, but just another example of the picayune silliness that infects the airline at the ground-experience level.

I think the disconnect for me is the idea that BA can issue a ticket and then say it isn't eligible because of OW rules. I actually supported the end of the open doors policy.....there's no reason you should fly Sleazy Jet and get BA lounge access, but when BA issues a ticket on their Avios...it really makes no sense.
My last BA ticket to Düsseldorf was through Lufthansa travel agency on cologne. I wouldn't be asking for access to a Lufty lounge
