The code share portion of the flight from NRT to BKK you wouldn't get upgraded on anyway. But the discount business class should be good all the way through to BKK.
Makes it even more attractive.
I don't even bother to look at Air Canada upgrades as a flight option anymore. I won't use a single credit this year.
