OK, let me report back the result. I called the CS and explained everything, after the CS figured out what happened, she put me on hold for a long time , then she got back telling me they were able to manually "merge" the two ETC , and apply it to my new reservation (they cannot extend the expiration date, so i have to use it for this new reservation ).
