Thaliajen, I don't know what you mean by it's good to hear that the Club is back up and running. We are in 2013. The Club was open already in 2006 when we enjoyed it and especially enjoyed seeing that the employees we had met in 2003 and 2004 were still working there. And they were in great spirits even though they suffered a lot (some lost their houses) during the hurricane. We went back in 2007 and 2012. And would go back this year if we had time.

Because we like swimming in the sea we would never go to the LagunaMar. We stayed in that area when there was a Sheraton and hated the swimming there. At the RBC club at the Westin Resort & Spa we grab a palapa overlooking the water and nobody bothers us the whole day. The free snorkeling is an added benefit.

The rooms in the RBC area plus the balconies are so big that we don't feel that a suite would increment our enjoyment. If having a suite is essential for me to enjoy a vacation I would just book it and not have to worry about it.

The bus fare is the same for one stop or the whole run to downtown. We don't mind the extra time to our destination as we use it as an opportunity to people watch.
