Unable to log in - is this normal during late night hours?

I tried to make a reservation but was not able to log in and got this message:

Unable to Sign In
We’re sorry, there’s been an error in the system. Please try again later, or call customer support at 801-468-4000 in the U.S. and Canada. For international customer support numbers, please visit our directory.

Is this common for Marriott Reward to become unavailable during late night hours? I thought only HHonor has this issue. I do not recall encountering such issue with Marriott website before.

This is annoying because I just find a potential LNF stay but I cannot log in to book / claim this.

I honestly do not like the new design of the site. It makes things even harder to find. I dont even know how to get to Marriott Reward site without signing in. In the past you dont need to log in to get to the Reward site. Now it seems there is no way unless you are logged in.
