In my experience even when the additional costs are nil there is a need to go back to pricing every time any change is requested because each change prompts a recalculation of taxes and fees which the frontline sales function is not equipped to do. I have never been able to understand why this cannot be system driven so that at the full quote can be given by the first sales line. It seems like a shocking inefficiency in business process to me.
