AA will check through on separate itineraries as long as MCT times are met. They also will treat separate itineraries (all on One World) as one itinerary in case of a delay.

As to the DFW connection time, it's fine. Unless you actually have to recheck bags (you won't) there is no need to leave security to connect between any gate at DFW as all the terminals are connected airside.
