Oz Clarke has been trying in his own wee way for years to get the image reversed that it has to be for special occassions and I have to agree as it has created this nonsense that it is just showing off drinking the stuff. Whit? Its great stuff im my opinion. You don't like it? Good for you, go get whatever you fancy, and i'll still sit and drink with you anyway. Tates darn good to me on a hot saturday evening. Or a cold saturday evening. Irn Bru is just as wet and fizzy and enjoyable, but i cant do a couple of litres of Bru in one sitting without my guts/teeth rotting away, and i appreciate the art that went into making the wine of the sparkling sort, whether french or so called new world, plus its lower alcohol so i can drink rather a lot of it in one go without falling over. People dont moan about whisky (another thing i rather enjoy), nor someone who sits down for 5 or 6 pints (same price as a bottle of bubbles, and i also very much enjoy a good pintage session....) but bubbles gets all this flak for what i can only see as bitterness and a seemingly relentless effort for people to stop others enjoying their lives however they want just because it is 'perceived' to be posh. How many of you when responding to the inevitable 'oh you must be soo tired after your long flight' question and you respond saying you got a good night's sleep on the flight as you were in first/cw etc and you get the typical pulled face response and derogatory remarks about it - go on admit it, you see it every time from a friend or family member. Jealousy? They will of course say no and 'well aren't you just a show off'. Uh. It is fact. Want me to lie to you? Oh i slummed it in economy and Oh. Em. Gee. it was aawwwffuulll moan moan moan? Make you feel better? No? Didn't think so. Let people live their lives how they want. If people stop banging on about it, it will no longer be a problem.

Whether you drink coke, water, coffee, vodka, bubbles, moonshine, and enjoy it; where ever you are, raise a glass of it and enjoy life without worrying about what others are doing. CHEERS!
