Agree with some of the previous posts. I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel on a combination business / leisure trip in June. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I don't typically stay at Marriott's (lowly silver), but I'm sure glad I picked this hotel for my stay.

Location - Property is well located, close to all major tourist destinations. Not far from Sagrada Familia, Ciutat Vella (old city), La Rambla, Barri Gótic and many others. It was very easy to get around, and love the bikes. It was also only a short walk to some of the nightlife destinations and fine restaurants in the city, so plenty of things to do in the evenings.

Facilities - I thought the facilities were great. Rained (gasp) one morning and hopped on the treadmill - good machines and free bottled water which is awesome. The lobby had a cool, somewhat modern look to it and clearly had recently been renovated. The CUIT bar area has some outdoor seating, TVs, couches and was generally fine. The roof terrace was enjoyable, and a great place to take a drink after a long day.

Rooms - The rooms were somewhat small, but clean and comfortable. The hallways once again had a nice, modern look and I generally enjoyed the look of the hotel. A very nice Marriott product.

Other - Free breakfast.
