MAN: Navigating from The Station to T3
Circumstances have forced me into having one of those nightmare itineraries next week which I'll always avoid if I can - if my meeting doesn't overrun, I have 20 minutes for the 2.5-mile taxi journey to the station, I'll have 13 minutes to change trains at Leeds, and then at MAN I'll have 38 minutes between arrival at The Station and departure (and then a taxi waiting for me at LHR to rush me to another meeting). You get the picture, it makes me almost physically sick just thinking about it - but it's MAN, so unless I miss the train and unless it's delayed, I should make it. Fortunately, I did the walk from The Station to T3 this weekend, so I have my bearings in fresh memory. The one bottleneck en route when you arrive at T1, and the signage towards T3 points you towards three antique sl-o-o-ow lifts that stop at every single floor in the parking structure above before they get to you. I presume there must be another possible route down? I'll be willing to run like hell down any number of staircases or whatever it takes rather than waiting for that darn lift, but what I can't afford is to get lost. Many thanks in advance!
