Calling Preferred line from a non-registered phone number: how to get Preferred agent
When you call the Preferred line from a phone number that's not the one listed in your profile, is there a way to be routed to a Preferred agent?
When I call from the phone whose number is listed in my profile, the US Airways system recognizes me ("Hello, NYCommuter, we have matched your phone number to the one in your profile..." or something) and I am routed to a Preferred agent.
When I call the Preferred line from another phone, I wait for a regular agent and then get a regular agent, after a wait. I've tried entering my DM number by checking my balance over the phone, but that doesn't end up routing me directly to a Preferred agent. I've also tried changing the number in my profile shortly before I call, but that doesn't work either.
Do others face this problem? Any solution?
