One Bag Travel + Huge Laptop - All in the Cabin

For those folks looking to put their life, not just their three day trip, in one bag, and use a big laptop, here's how.

Rimowa IATA cabin trolley, plus a Case Logic laptop bag for your 17-20 inch laptop = your life in one bag and personal item carry on. Most of my pals don't even bother with a desktop these days, instead choosing to carry their 17-20 inch laptops everywhere (about 6-8 lbs) for the laptop.

If you pack a suit (rolled or with coat worn), towel, extra pants, sneakers or loafers, wear your dress shoes, you can't exactly fit the 17 inch laptop into the IATA case, so you do need a laptop bag with a luggage strap. The Case Logic laptop bags have such a strap.

You can look even better if you eat right, but a Salsa or Topas/Stealth case with a slip on laptop bag looks damn good. I wish it were possible with just the case, but its 22 inches. You can take your laptop bag out during the day, and like me, have another tote into which you can slide your laptop bag, which tote you can stick flat into the trolley when you dont need it (if it's made of nylon - some of the heavier Bally - type totes won't fit - so there are some restrictions on what you can bring).

Remember, the Topas will not fit in it as much as the Salsa, the buckle/aluminum combo aint as good as bending as the polycarbonate/zip combo.

You can just fit it in if you try. Your life in one bag, and a big laptop you can take with you as a personal item.

Who need to spend 30 years paying off a mortgage now? You can work or operate from anywhere. You just need to buy new coat hangers at each destination - because in a 22 inch case they can take up a lot of room (especially the round shouldered ones which you need for your suit).
