AS asks that you be in the gate area and available for boarding 30 minutes prior to departure.
Friends in dispatch notwithstanding, I don't think its too much to ask that you at least have made it to the security line 30 minutes prior to departure.
And... baggage cutoff is supposed to be 40 minutes prior... so how did it take you 15 minutes to get from the counter to security?
