I don't ever find HX cheaper than TG/ET/KQ/RJ/EK on this route, so why take them?

I have only taken it once because I had to 3am dept to arr 7am into HKG. Bought J ticket due to the timing and a full work day. Was on time and actually hugely pleasant. Not least a brand new 330 with flat beds and the whole J cabin to myself . Y cabin didn't look like fun though...
