I'm sorry, but you're flying HX....not Emirates F/J class.
Their responsibility is to only get you from airport to airport, not your final destination with a complimentary chauffeur + Benz waiting for you.

It sucks that you had to encounter a delay (or 2). And furthermore unluckily came across a few ground staff that wasn't so helpful. But at the end of the day, it is your own responsibility for you to get from the airport to your final destination.

NB: Public transport options do not operate at this time of the morning in HKG.

Hong Kong Airlines did suggest a shuttle bus they wanted to put on for stranded passengers, but a slow option deparing the airport at 4am in the morning which doesn't take you anywhere near your final destination, is not a viable solution when one wants to get some sleep before a days work!
1) I find it very hard to believe there is not a single red taxi outside of HKIA, regardless of what hour you arrived. Doesn't take that much effort to walk over to the taxi stand.
2) And yes, there is public transportation at that hour. It's call overnight "N" buses. For example, N11 could have gotten you to HK Island.
3) HX DID offer a shuttle bus for its stranded pax, just that you were you were inpatience (understandable after such long delay) and decided head off yourself.
