I grew up in Milwaukee. Do not go to Pride Fest expecting a classic gay pride party. Or a classic gay party of any kind.

If you've ever been to SummerFest, or German Fest, or any of the other fests, it's very similar. Surprisingly good music, a lot of cheese-based food, and a LOT of beer.

Key difference is that the fat people quasi-passed out on picnic tables and paved pathways are lesbians and gay men.
