I have to ask the obvious question - why can't you buy the Chanel bag while you're in Paris (and reclaim the tax when you leave CDG) ?
Really? Is the Terminal 3 Shop the only Chanel Shop in Heathrow? From the purse forum, I have learnt that Chanel Duty free shop in LHR has better price even when comparing to buying in Paris with tax refund. I am sure they were talking about bags. People also said that the tax refund line in CDG can be horribly long. I wasn't sure where I should get the tax refund processed (LHR vs CDG) and whether if I have enough time to get it done in 2 hours if LHR is considered as last EU country I stop in until I called Air New Zealand and found out that I will get two boarding passes in CDG for both legs of flight and I will be staying in the transit /airside area. In this case, I think my best bet is to buy in Paris and get tax refunded in Paris, which is the simplest way and I can just go to CDG earlier to avoid the queues. Thanks
