SE guaranteed reservation question
I am looking at a flight in 2 weeks time showing J7C0Y0M0.....etc. I interpret this as oversold in Y, but with seats in J. Questions:

1) Can I force a seat in Y by changing the date on an existing Y-class ticket, or does it have to be a new reservation?

2) If I can force a seat in Y, can I waitlist this for upgrade, or do I get punished for bumping someone?
