Have a flight at 8am from LGW and staying overnight at the airport at the Premier Inn adjoining the North Terminal.

It would be no hardship to get up at 6am, head down and check in for the flight before pootling off to the lounge but I was wondering if using the twilight check in the night before on arrival at Gatwick was worth it.

I have visions of my luggage being left in the storage area and not making it onto the flight by checking in the night before.

Any thoughts or experiences ?
