Do you know how easy it is to get to this hotel from the Airport?
With two kids, we will be looking for easy site seeing. Any recommendations?
Nice restaurants around this hotel?

Possibly of an upgrade from a Superior Room or should we try and book a higher room?

Thanks
Platinum is not going to get you upgrades at IC Hotel's, you need to purchase Ambassador status for IC upgrades.
(Platinum is the program for the other brands, CP, HI, HIX etc )

For IC Athens, consider if paying on ADR rates, for just 20euro more, a Club Room. This allows lounge access, where you can have breakfast, rather than pay 34euro/person in the restaurant. Plus free non-alcoholic drinks during the day, teatime/evening snacks and 6-8p (or similar) evening alcoholic drinks. (Ugrading to Lounge on arrival is at least 40euro/day extra)

Other Athens Choice ....
Hilton is having "1/2price summer getaway" and may be better located for families with children?

Have a look at prices at www3.hilton.com. Lowest room type is only 89++euro, but if even one night unavailable you get next room actually available throught full stay. As such you can check daily too to see which days are King Guest 89euro (if any left) but better value is King Execurive 139++euro (total 149) you get Lounge access and won't need to buy breakfast etc.

Only downside Hilton v IHG, is if you have no Hilton status, you get only free internet at the IC
