Also what is the optimal time to reserve? Here in the USA fares are often higher when the schedule opens (11 months) and usually go down 3-6 months before departure, though there are exceptions depending on the season and destination.
For HEL-ARN, I would use BA points since it requires so few compared to UA.
Flights connecting OSL, CPH, ARN and HEL are usually not a good mileage redemption value. Booking 3 weeks to 4 months before intended date of travel, regular paid tickets are usually a pretty good deal .... as long as you avoid peak local holiday traffic dates.
