I got my statement, showing my $120 annual fee. I'll need to spend $500 on stuff within 3 months, and then CIBC will credit $120 back to me. Others are reporting an offer where there is no minimum spend. Either way, you need to pay the $120 with real money to get the $120 rebate.

I believe the 15,000 Aeroplan miles will be earned once you have paid the fee, though it may take a while for the miles to be credited.
