It happens. If you're an occasional traveller to DME then you're unlucky, but it happens often enough to annoy some of the regulars round here.

Is there that much difference in economy? I'd hope the catering would be long haul.

I do think the compensation for club world needs to be better though, club europe can't be considered equivalent to club world.

Some of the issues were beyond BA's control. Those nice new 787's should have been delivered ages ago and there were intended to replace some of the 767 fleet and provide spare capacity for the remaining 767's. Now BA has an old fleet, so the new aircraft can't come soon enough.
