Some people would disagree with you on the seats. But it's all a mood point since it's being done anyhow. I personally do not like the BF seats, narrow foot well, having to crawl over your seatmate to get out...

So why use a 3 class bird and marketed as just F, but I guess since UA does nothing special for the F passengers as far as service goes, the expectations are low...
