If you are AA gold that means an equivalent of OW Ruby status. RBYs (including BA Bronze members) are only allowed to assign seats on BA within 7 days of departure. So your outbound flights on BA are within 7 days and your return in longer than 7 days away. Just check back on ba.com 7 days before departure to assign your seats.
Actually the outbound are Y and J so they can be assigned at any time (as I understand it as the outbound it not for a few weeks), once I found the trip locator. I should make OW Sapphire on the outbound trip so I assume I should be able to look at those seats as soon as I finish that flight (I hope)
