My post just upthread has a chart / map for the airport, including runways and orientation.

As for responders, yes, one must remember time perception is often distorted when one is involved, as well as the fact responders will be trained in triage. - medical treatment is prioritized dependent on the injuries suffered, and those those who are past help will not be tended to. Some observers may feel that is callous, or not be aware of what is occurring but have their sense of concern and perturbation heightened by the circumstances of an emergency. (Stress = perceptual narrowing.)

Not sure why we must second guess everything; the NTSB preliminary information will come out, and ultimately a very thorough review of circumstances will inform us without speculative ventures. I can understand the media frenzy - they sell advertising based on consumption; but us?
