Treat yourself to at least a business seat on one of the Asian airlines from SFO: SQ, OZ, ANA. It's going to be great. Avoid UA unless you upgrade business (for 30K each way).

New to Flyertalk but like what I see so far. Finally decided to be loyal to one airline (united) and accumulated enough to be Silver Status so far. I have 130,000 UA miles and was wondering if you had any pointers in using these miles? Thinking of traveling to HKG and SGN sometime late October or early to mid November. Should I just use it for a free flight or pay for an economy flight and upgrade with the miles? Can I even afford an upgrade if I paid for the economy class. I did a quick check to see if I can afford a free flight and looks like if I am flexible with dates, 130k is just enough. I should have another 10k-15k by end of this month. Thoughts?
