Seat selection question - Why is a flight missing (and other questions)? [AA & BA]

Hi All,

I just booked the following flights through AA.com with my Gold AA FF membership assigned :

- EDI -> LHR (J) BA flight number, BA flight
- LHR -> SEA (Y) BA flight number, BA flight
- SEA -> LHR (H) AA flight number, BA flight
- LHR -> EDI (H) AA flight number, BA flight

The ticket was issued about 12 hours ago. I go to AA.com, log into my account and select the flight.

First strange thing : The outbound legs are showing up with no option for seat selection at all, but I get a seat selection option for the return legs. Is that normal?

Second strange thing : When I select "Choose seats", I am taken to the BA.com sight BUT there are only three legs showing up, the first is completely missing. Any idea what is happening there? Why could a J class ticket not even show up?

Third strange thing : The LHR - SEA leg is show up as "Seat choice will be available at check in". I thought that Y coded flights on BA allowed you to choose your seats at any point? Plus, given I am OW Ruby, surely I can select my seats 7 days before right?

Fourth (not so strange) question : The remaining flights are showing up with seat selection available but I have to pay. Given I am OW Ruby, I assume I just wait till 7 days before and select the seats then for free?

I would appreciate any thoughts on why its working this way and how to solve it so that I can get an isle seat locked in...Thanks
