I'm confused about the OPs post but having been through SIN recently, one of the issues that I had with the gate security was the lack of any kind of fast track. So has something changed in the last couple of weeks?

Security at SIN is rather stupid. You are encouraged to get to the gate early only to sit around for ages. Then when they announce boarding you are made to do a 'walk of shame/smugness (delete based on how you feel about it )' when they call "Only First Class" first. You then have to walk to the door with about 200 people staring at you (which may or may not be desirable!).
