Getting a better view of the approach end of 28L. The debris field extends all the way to the water. It appears that the primary debris is also right of the centerline. My impression here is of a terribly botched landing or a control issue. Wind could be an issue; it was variable from 170 to 240 at 7 knots per the METAR from about a half hour after the accident at 1156 local time.
ETA: from the pictures, it is clear that the tail break occurred at the rear pressure bulkhead -- the upper half of the bulkhead is still attached to the aircraft.
