You're confusing two issues: Are you allowed to do it, and will it continue to work?
Apparently, from what you've been told here, the answer are "yes" and "maybe for a little while, much less likely for longer".
I can only provide the context of a similar experience with Marriott LNF (Look No Further) BRG program. I need 3 nights a week almost every week, but paid on my own dime, and I can't pay normal Marriott rates most of the time. I have learned how to make LNF work "repeatably" for me, but it's still only once-a-week repeats (rather than three times a week in your case), and I "pause" (since Marriott's not my only program, I'm only chasing Marriott for as many nights as a given MegaBonus entices me to, and no further, and it works out that I need Marriott stays only about a third or so of my nights each year). At any rate, many of the sites at which I've done repeated LNFs pulled those hotels from either "ever' having low rates again, or at least not until I'd stopped LNFing with that site for a while (only then did they come back, and once get disappear after I started using them again). So I have to constantly been on the search for diffrerent sites to use. And that only works for me because I'm open to any of a dozen or more Marriott family hotels in the area, whichever one ends up in my price range (which not even the Fairfields in the area do with their normal rates many weeks of the year). I'd shudder to have to consider the same techniques (and workarounds for them) in the SPG world with a substantially smaller footprint in most cities than Marriott.
