What "new rules" are you speaking about? There are no new rules. One or two Homewood Suites I have looked at required press identification, and I did not book them or booked another rate. Sports affiliation? I always carry my DAN card with me (Divers Alert Network) because my membership includes $100,000 medevac / repat insurance when I am 50 mi / 80 km away from home. There's my "sports affiliation.
The only anomaly I have found with MVP was a couple of days ago when I checked a booking possibility (SEA iirc) and the MVP rate was displayed - and
higher than AARP / AAA / Senior!
Advice?
