It is a 56 minute connection, going from a CRJ 900 to a A319......plenty of time for myself or any normal traveler to make it no problem....just adding 3 kids to the mix can delay things a bit....just trying to help him out and make it easier and as painless as possible.
It all depends on where the connection is made, but I'm with some of the others, have your family check it all the way to the final stop. A stroller is too big to fit in the over head bins and they are not "normal" size bins, even on a A319 you will have to gate check the stroller. It will save a lot of hassels for all involved and not worrying if they will make the connect.
