A KUL-SIN one way paid is between MYR 170 (£35.40) to MYR 332 (£69.14) in restricted economy (MH Smart fare) depending on the time of day. Sounds like a very poor use of Avios to me.

This fare is from the Malaysia Airlines website direct. Redeeming business class tickets make slightly more sense.
