It's odd that they'd add the "Pax" suffix because there is no freighter variant of the 787 right now. Boeing just recently announced that they will start working on a freighter variant of the 787-9:

And they don't really have a precise timeline for introduction:

“At some point in the far distant future the -9 is the freighter platform,” Bair said.
