And then upon landing at HND yesterday en route from TSA, flying the BR Hello Kitty flight of all things, low and behold I see an NH 747 on the tarmac.

I can only assume it's used on domestic ops. Okinawa perhaps? Anyone have more information?

I'm also curious on it's configuration, eg is the upper deck F or C? Or is it a dual cabin only config given domestic ops? How are the seats?
They mostly fly HND-CTS and HND-OKA depending on season. Normal ANA domestic ecomony seats - 10 abreast downstairs and 6 abreast upstairs. In the nose, there are 23 premium seats (described here), making a total of 565 seats.

Only 5 of these 747-400Ds remain (2 painted in Pokemon colours), and they will be retired soon.
