ok I read the entire thing. I am still confused about if I book a star alliance partner and that flight is cancelled I could be stuck because US will be part of one world at that point? If I book it direct on US (say I decided to go out of CLT) they are not going to cancel the one flight from CLT to Rome per day due to the merger are they?
