I'm more often than not very happy to say nice things about the cabin crew, but what I really hope they will start trying to drill down is the cleanliness of the planes - hopefully matching it to the particular aircraft that operated the flight in question.

If you notice an area of your seat that is grubby, please do tell the cabin crew because we can enter it into the Aircraft logs to be cleaned.
I completely agree with you about the state of some of the planes, hopefully with these new aircraft arrivals, aircraft will ultimately get more downtime and get cleaned more thoroughly.
Mentioning this in the survey is a good way to make BA take notice. The statistics gained by these surveys are really worshiped by BA and a statistical trend will definitely be noticed.
