Just booked a ticket MIA-SDQ (via PTY) on Copa. I am 8000 miles short of 70K RDMs so even though I shooting for EXP on AA, this was a good deal for just under $500 last minute. What a bad experience and I have not flown yet!

*Before I booked ticket I asked specifics about the same day change. They said I can connect in Panama up to 24 hours. I would have liked to overnight there.
*They told me same fare class would have to be available and the fee is a reasonable $25. No discount for 1K.
*I am within 24 hours and S class is available on all flights, HOWEVER only individually, not MIA-SDQ. So even though S is available on each individual flight it is not coded form origin to destination! On top of that you can not change to an overnight connection as they originally told me! Supervisors have ZERO authority to assist.
*Agents are in coherent and seem distant an not caring.
*Within 24 hours, still no upgrade clear. Called and said I am not on waitlist. Said he put me on. Way back is within 4 days, not clear... no clue about waitlist.
*No confirmation you are on the waitlist at check-in.

Best airline in Latin America ? Maybe but that does not make them good! Sucks to know I am flying an airline that seems incapable of helping me if something does go wrong.
