Cancelling a UK card after a month or two from opening
Hi,

I'm tempted to apply for the Starwood Preferred Guest Amex card. I already hold 3 Amex cards (one for almost a year, the other two for 3 and 2 months respectively), but the current bonus for the Starwood card is just too good.

After reaching the threshold spend that triggers the bonus, I would like to cancel the card ASAP in order to get a pro-rata refund of the annual fee, even after a month two. Any experience of how Amex take this? Has anyone done it?

P.S. I'm in the UK
