Weekly Post(Japan) reports Bill Gates may have ordered a summer house in Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan.

22,000 square meters.
8 billion yen.

SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son is said to have introduced Karuizawa to Gates.

There's virtually no Japanese who doesn't know Karuizawa. The royal family sometimes spend summer there. However, I don't find a Wikipedia article in English on Karuizawa. The house may draw more attention from overseas to the town.
