I use Etymotic HF3s (they are now at HF5). These are in-ear ones but you must get custom rubber moulds made for your ears, no point otherwsie. Once you pop them in you cannot hear a thing.

Much better than big padded headsets IMO as you can sleep well with them on, plus they are compact and come with a nice little case. The controller works on Apple and also has a mic so you can use it as hands free as well.
