People waiting for their luggage, whether on a jetway or at a baggage carousel, act like hungry dogs waiting for food. Sure... Some are trying to make a connection, but certainly not the masses that crowd the jetway so I can't even see what bags have come out in order to know that one of them is mine. The yellow tag won't help if I can't see it.
On a related topic, traveling would be significantly destressed if every airport would put a red line five feet away from the carousel stating, "Please wait behind this line until you see your bag on the carousel." When my Priority tags work, I usually have to push my way through the people waiting at the edge of the carousel in order to claim my bags. It's a part of the absence of common sense in human nature that frustrates me a great deal as a FFer.
Ahhhh..... It felt good to get that out of my system.
Oh... This is the first year that I have tried using my own plastic cable ties to attach my 1K tags to my checked bags. The tags lasted about 2 months. The cable ties live on.
